Al Amanah Essay Writing Contest: Writing for Change in the New Year

Al Amanah is launching an essay writing contest exclusively for Afghan girls to share their reflections, concerns, and visions through the power of writing.

Topics:

1. How can we, as Afghan girls and women, defend our rights under the current conditions and situation in Afghanistan?

2. Open topic (any theme that inspires and matters to you)

Prizes:
🥇 First Place: 5,000 AFN
🥈 Second Place: 2,000 AFN
The top two essays will be published on Al Amanah’s website and social media platforms.

Submission Guidelines:

1. Open to Afghan girls only

2. Language: Dari/Farsi or English

3. Word count: 800 to 1500 words

4. Format: Word (.docx or.doc) or PDF

5. Font (for Dari entries): B Nazanin or B Mitra, size 14 (body) and 16 (headings)

6. Line spacing: 1.5
